TreVeyon Henderson LESS THAN 17.5 Rush Attempts
Henderson has yet to see more than 14 rushing attempts in a single game this season, a mark he’s hit in each of the last two contests with Rhamondre Stevenson sidelined. With the Patriots eyeing a potential playoff run, it makes sense that they’d avoid overworking their rookie back in what projects as a manageable matchup. Even if Terrell Jennings, who was injured last week, can’t suit up, New England has the depth to spell Henderson — D’Ernest Johnson could easily be elevated from the practice squad and absorb a share of those carries. All signs point to a more balanced backfield approach in this one.
Breece Hall MORE THAN 14.5 Receiving Yards
Hall has been one of the most reliable receiving backs in the league this season, recording at least 14 receiving yards in all but one game and clearing this line in five of eight contests. He now faces a Patriots defense that has quietly struggled to contain pass-catching running backs, allowing at least 18 receiving yards to the position in every game where a back has seen a target since Week 2. With the Jets dealing with injuries and limited depth at wide receiver, Hall should once again be a key part of the passing attack — getting plenty of checkdowns and designed looks out of the backfield. I love this spot for him to stay involved and go over this number.
