Connors draws a fantastic matchup Friday night against a Colorado defense that has been gashed on the ground, allowing 5.5 yards per carry — ranking 110th in the nation. After a slow start in Week 1, Connors bounced back in a big way last week against Rice, ripping off 132 rushing yards on just 13 carries. With the momentum on his side and a soft run defense in front of him, this sets up as a prime spot for Connors to deliver another big performance.
Joseph Williams MORE THAN 38.5 Receiving Yards
Colorado’s passing attack had been stuck in neutral until Dean Staub entered the game last week against Delaware, instantly providing a spark by completing 7 of 11 passes for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns. When Staub took over, Williams was his first look, drawing the first 3 targets and finishing with 7 total on the day. This week, Colorado faces a much tougher defense, but if Staub gets the start, Williams should remain a key part of the game plan. With this reduced number, it’s a spot that sets up nicely for him.
