Robby Ashford LESS THAN 1.5 Passing TDs

Ashford has always been known more for his legs than his arm, and that has carried over throughout his entire college career. Through two games this season, he has only 1 passing touchdown, and looking back over 32 career games, he has gone over 1 passing touchdown just twice. While NC State’s passing defense isn’t necessarily overwhelming, this line still feels far too high given the type of player Ashford is and how he’s historically been used.

Justin Joly LESS THAN 46.5 Receiving Yards

Joly has been the clear go-to target for QB CJ Bailey, drawing 6 targets in each of NC State’s first two games. The problem is his usage—his aDoT sits at just 5.1 yards, and he’s averaging only 3 yards after the catch, making it tough to rack up big numbers. Now he gets his toughest test yet against a Wake Forest defense that PFF ranks 17th in coverage. On a short week, this passing game as a whole is likely to face some real struggles, and Joly could be the one most impacted.
