Williams steps into the role as Washington’s full-time starting quarterback in a late-night showdown with Colorado State, a game where the Huskies enter as heavy 21.5-point favorites. There’s no question Williams has the talent to put up big numbers and he’s going to have some explosive performances this season, but this particular spot feels tricky. With Washington expected to take control early, it’s unlikely the coaching staff will push Williams deep into the game, especially with bigger challenges ahead. Keeping him healthy will be the priority, and if this turns into the blowout it’s projected to be, he may not even see the field for four full quarters. Given that context, this number feels inflated and tough to trust.
