Brendan Sorsby MORE THAN 8.5 Rushing Attempts
Once Cincinnati entered conference play, Sorsby really embraced his dual-threat ability, logging at least nine rushing attempts in six of his final eight games. This week he draws a tough Nebraska defense, but one that has shown vulnerability to mobile quarterbacks, giving up some solid rushing performances last season. Early in the year is often the best time to target this kind of production, as offenses are still finding their rhythm while quarterbacks are more inclined to tuck it and run when plays break down.
Darius Taylor MORE THAN 0.5 Rushing TDs (Goblin)
Taylor enters the season as the clear lead back in what projects to be one of the stronger rushing offenses in the country. Last year, he was highly productive, finishing just shy of 1,000 yards while finding the end zone 10 times on the ground. He opens the year in a favorable matchup against a Buffalo defense that struggled to contain opposing running games, especially outside of MAC competition. Given his role and the matchup, Taylor has a strong chance to find the end zone again and kick off the season on a high note.
