Now he faces a tough matchup against Kevin Gausman, a pitcher who has consistently had his number throughout his career. In 21 career at-bats against Gausman, Baez has managed just 4 hits while striking out 10 times. Given his recent form and poor history in this matchup, this sets up as a difficult spot for Baez to turn things around.
