Kayla Thornton LESS THAN 13.5 Points
Thornton erupted for a big performance on Saturday against the Aces—along with the rest of the Golden State squad—but it was more the exception than the norm. Despite that breakout game, she’s gone over this line in just 3 of her 10 games this season and is still averaging only 10.9 points per contest. While her recent showing may grab attention, the overall trend suggests this line is a bit inflated. This number feels too high given her season-long production.
Kelsey Plum MORE THAN 1.5 3-Pointers Made (Goblin)
Plum has been reliable from deep this season, going over this number in 7 of her 9 games, including a strong outing earlier in the year against Golden State. While she’s fallen short of the mark in 2 of her last 3 games, it’s worth noting that both of those contests were blowouts—limiting her minutes and shot volume, particularly from beyond the arc. In what projects to be a much more competitive matchup, Plum should see her usual workload and have plenty of opportunities to fire from three. I like her chances to bounce back here.
