Jonathan Cannon LESS THAN 17.5 Pitching Outs
Cannon has been consistently limited in his outings this season, recording 17 outs or fewer in 6 of his 9 starts and never surpassing 18 outs in any appearance. Today’s matchup isn’t doing him any favors, as he faces a Tigers team that’s had plenty of success against him—posting a .333 batting average in 48 career at-bats. With Detroit coming in as significant favorites in this game, I think they’ll get to Cannon early and force him out of the game before the end of the 6th inning.
Max Meyer MORE THAN 4.5 Strikeouts (Goblin)
Meyer has had an up-and-down year so far and really struggled in his last outing against the Padres. However, he’s still managed to go over this line in 7 of his 11 starts on the season. Today, he’s got a golden opportunity to bounce back against a historically weak Colorado lineup that strikes out at an eye-popping 26.6% clip against right-handed pitchers. Given how juicy this reduced line is, I love the value we’re getting for Meyer to rack up the Ks tonight.
