Gavin Williams MORE THAN 14.5 Pitching Outs

Williams draws a fantastic matchup here against a Tigers team that has really been struggling at the plate. Over their last 30 games, Detroit has managed just a .217 average against right-handed pitching, and this is a lineup that has historically had trouble solving Williams. In fact, across 101 career at-bats, the Tigers are hitting just .149 against him. With both recent form and long-term history working in his favor, I like Williams to put together another strong outing here.

Hunter Greene LESS THAN 16.5 Pitching Outs

Greene has worked his way back nicely from his early-season injury and has been able to pitch deeper into games down the stretch, but the playoffs present an entirely different challenge—especially with this matchup. The Dodgers’ lineup has had his number in the past, hitting .285 off him across 85 career at-bats, and they’re not a team that typically lets opportunities slip by in October. On top of that, the Reds will likely have to play things situationally and manage their bullpen aggressively, making this a very tough line for Greene to clear in a playoff setting.
