Harper has always been known for his power at the plate, and while he hasn’t been quite as consistent this season as in years past, he’s still managed to clear this line in half of his games. Tonight, he draws a favorable matchup against Sean Manaea, a pitcher he’s seen plenty of success against over his career. Add in the fact that he’s facing a Mets team that has been struggling, and this sets up as an excellent spot for Harper to get hot and make a big impact.

Gallen has been one of the most reliable arms in baseball, going at least 6 innings in 8 of his last 9 starts and 10 of his last 12 overall. He now gets a matchup with a Giants lineup that has historically had no answers for him, batting just .174 across 92 career at-bats. With his consistency on the mound and his dominance against San Francisco, this sets up as another strong spot for Gallen to go deep into the game and deliver another quality outing of at least 6 innings.
