Caulin Lacy MORE THAN 54.5 Receiving Yards
Lacy made an immediate impact in Week 1, drawing six targets — tied for the most on the team — and turning them into four receptions for 62 yards. He was heavily involved in the offense, ranking second on the team with 25 routes run while also leading the way in yards after catch with 33. This week, Louisville faces a tougher challenge against James Madison, a matchup that should force them to open up the passing attack even more. With his early usage and playmaking ability, Lacy is in a great spot to see plenty of opportunities once again and put together another strong performance.
Octavian Smith MORE THAN 38.5 Receiving Yards
This Maryland offense looked sharp with freshman quarterback Malik Washington leading the way, and Smith clearly established himself as a key piece by leading the team in routes run. He finished with three catches on seven targets, but what really stands out is his impressive 12.7 average depth of target, showing that he’s being trusted to stretch the field. As Washington continues to settle in, that connection should only grow stronger. Maryland now draws a favorable matchup against a Northern Illinois team that just gave up plenty of production to FCS opponent Holy Cross in Week 1. With his usage and big-play potential, Smith should see plenty of targets here and has a real chance to break a big one.
