Dak Prescott – Cowboys
Waiting until the 8th round or later to grab a quarterback looks like one of the sharper strategies in best ball this year, and Dak Prescott is a perfect target if you take that approach. Currently going in the middle of the 8th, Prescott steps into 2025 with plenty of weapons at his disposal—headlined by superstar CeeDee Lamb and newly acquired George Pickens. The last time Prescott played a full, healthy season back in 2023, he finished as the QB3 overall, proving the kind of upside he brings to the table. For a quarterback available this late in drafts, he offers outstanding value and league-winning potential.
Caleb Williams – Bears
The Bears have famously never had a quarterback eclipse 4,000 passing yards in a single season, but this could finally be the year that streak ends. With an exciting trio of playmakers in DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden leading the receiving corps, and innovative offensive mind Ben Johnson taking over as head coach, rookie Caleb Williams steps into an ideal situation to put up numbers right away. Going off the board in the 10th round, Williams offers solid value as a QB1 if you wait, and an excellent upside swing as a QB2 in best ball formats.
Trevor Lawrence – Jaguars
Lawrence is a quarterback who could really take a step forward with a fresh start under new offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who comes over from Tampa Bay after helping revive Baker Mayfield’s career. The Jaguars added a huge playmaker in Travis Hunter, who will see plenty of snaps at wide receiver, and paired him with an already solid group led by Brian Thomas. With those weapons and Coen’s system in place, Lawrence is set up for a potential breakout. Currently going at the tail end of the 11th round, he makes for an excellent QB2 in best ball formats and brings sneaky-big upside this season.
