Ja’marr Chase – WR – Bengals

Chase put together a truly historic season last year, finishing as the #2 overall scorer behind only Lamar Jackson. Averaging more than 7 receptions on 10 targets per game, along with 100 yards and a touchdown, he was a weekly game-changer in every lineup. While those eye-popping numbers may be tough to repeat, the beauty with Chase is that he doesn’t need to fully replicate them to remain one of the elite PPR performers in fantasy. With Cincinnati’s shaky defense likely forcing the offense to stay aggressive, Chase should once again see a massive target share. All things considered, he makes a strong case as the top overall pick in drafts this season.

Bijan Robinson – RB – Falcons

Robinson is the clear-cut hot pick at the top of fantasy football drafts this season—and for good reason. After Week 6 last year, he topped 20 fantasy points in all but two games, putting together an incredible stretch of consistent dominance. During that span, he averaged 20 carries for 98 rushing yards, found the end zone 13 times, and added plenty of value through the air with over 4 targets and 25 receiving yards per game. Locked in as the focal point of this offense—especially with Penix now under center—Robinson’s upside in Zac Robinson’s system is sky-high, making him an elite building block for any roster.

Saquon Barkley – RB – Eagles

Barkley is shaping up to be a true dark horse candidate for the top overall pick in fantasy drafts this year after putting together a monster season in 2024. He cleared 100 rushing yards in 11 of 16 games and averaged an impressive 125 yards on the ground per game, showcasing his dominance as a workhorse back. While his usage in the passing game was limited, his sheer efficiency as a rusher more than made up for it. In full PPR formats his lower target volume may push him slightly down the board, but Barkley remains one of the safest bets in fantasy thanks to his heavy workload and consistent production.

Who do you take #1?

In full PPR formats like DK Best Ball, the debate for the top pick really comes down to two elite options: Ja’Marr Chase and Bijan Robinson. Your choice here should factor in both your draft strategy and your overall player exposure across lineups. In a vacuum, leaning toward the wide receiver makes sense given the added value of receptions in PPR scoring, but the reality is you can’t go wrong with either of these superstars. Both offer league-winning upside and make for a rock-solid foundation to build your roster around.
