In just two games since returning from injury, Snell has looked absolutely electric, racking up 8 and 10 strikeouts despite being limited to only 5 innings in each outing. Now he gets a matchup with a disciplined Padres team, but one he’s historically dominated. Across 86 career at-bats, the current Padres roster has struck out at a massive 31.3% clip against him, showing just how overpowering Snell can be when he’s on his game. With the way he’s missing bats right now and his proven track record against this lineup, I really like his chances to clear this number once again.

Jarren Duran LESS THAN 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Duran has only cleared this number in 34% of games this season and has managed to do so just once in his last 8 outings, showing how tough it’s been for him to consistently reach this mark. Tonight he faces Cal Quantrill, a starter who has had his number throughout his career—Duran has just 1 hit in 13 career at-bats against him. While Duran certainly carries high upside with his power and speed, this particular matchup combined with his recent struggles makes this projection look far too ambitious.
