Top Tier

Bijan Robinson – Atlanta Falcons

Bijan Robinson is a top-tier target for best ball drafters this season, and it’s easy to see why. He finished last year top five among running backs in both rushing attempts and targets—an elite combination of volume and versatility. While he started the season slow, Robinson turned it on starting in Week 6, scoring at least 20 PPR points in all but two of his final 12 games and racking up 14 touchdowns during that stretch. Entering his second year in Zac Robinson’s offense, he’s expected to see around 20 carries per game along with 3–5 targets, setting the stage for more consistent high-ceiling performances. With a clear path to bell-cow usage and explosive weekly upside, Robinson is a perfect fit for best ball formats where spike weeks are king.

Mid Tier

RJ Harvey – Denver Broncos

RJ Harvey was drafted by the Broncos with the intention of developing him into their future lead back—and that journey is set to begin right out of the gate in Week 1. Denver plans to feature him as their primary third-down back to start the season, with a clear path to an expanded role as he gains experience. The coaching staff is excited about his pass-catching ability, and that fits perfectly within an offense that ranked top five in running back targets last season. In best ball formats, Harvey is exactly the kind of rookie to target—someone who should contribute early in the passing game with the potential to take on more volume as the year unfolds. He’s in a prime landing spot to deliver value and spike weeks when it matters most.

Sleepers

Jaylen Warren – Pittsburgh Steelers

With Najee Harris heading out west to join the Chargers, the Steelers addressed their backfield by drafting Kaleb Johnson. However, Jaylen Warren remains in the mix—and he’s been quietly productive in his complementary role over the past few seasons. While he played behind Harris, Warren consistently flashed as the more dynamic pass-catching option. Enter Johnson, a powerful early-down runner who posted just 29 receptions across three seasons at Iowa, highlighting some limitations in the passing game. This backfield is shaping up to be a fairly even split, but in PPR best ball formats, Warren’s projected role on passing downs gives him the edge for delivering valuable spike weeks—especially as a mid-to-late round pick.
