Sandy Alcantara LESS THAN 5.5 Hits Allowed
Alcantara opened the season on a rough note, ranking among the league’s most hittable arms early on, but he’s turned things around impressively since the start of June. Despite a shaky performance in his last outing, this matchup offers a prime opportunity for him to bounce back. He’ll take the mound against a Brewers lineup that has struggled mightily against him in the past—managing just a .164 batting average over 61 career at-bats. With recent momentum on his side and strong historical success in this matchup, Alcantara is well-positioned for a solid rebound performance.
Mark Canha LESS THAN 0.5 Singles
Canha has been in a prolonged slump at the plate, managing just three singles over his last 17 games played—a clear indication that he’s having a hard time finding his rhythm. Things don’t get any easier here, as he faces a familiar opponent in Eduardo Rodriguez, who has consistently gotten the better of him. In 19 career at-bats against Rodriguez, Canha has just two hits, good for a bleak .105 batting average. Given his recent struggles and poor track record in this matchup, this looks like an uphill battle for Canha once again.
