Kelly has been locked in on the mound, going over this line in eight consecutive starts while averaging an impressive 7.4 strikeouts per outing this season. He’s maintained a strong 24.8% strikeout rate overall, and he’s been even more effective against this Rockies lineup specifically—posting a 27% strikeout rate over 115 career at-bats. Colorado continues to struggle at the plate, ranking 29th in the league in strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers. With his current form and a favorable matchup, this is a prime spot for Kelly to keep racking up the Ks—I absolutely love this play.
