Cease is in the midst of an outstanding season, having cleared this strikeout line in 12 of his 14 starts so far. He’s racking up punchouts at an impressive 29.9% clip and is averaging nearly 7 strikeouts per outing. What really boosts his outlook here is his dominant track record against this Dodgers lineup—over 136 career matchups, he’s struck out 36% of the batters he’s faced. With his elite swing-and-miss stuff and a favorable history against this team, this sets up as an excellent opportunity for Cease to continue his dominant run.
