Sugano has been a steady presence on the mound, going at least six innings in 7 of his last 9 starts and averaging 19 outs per outing during that stretch. While he faces an Athletics lineup that’s been swinging the bats fairly well on the surface, a deeper dive reveals some regression may be coming—their xwOBA ranks 10 spots lower than their actual wOBA, suggesting they’ve benefited from more than a little good fortune. Given Sugano’s efficiency and ability to work deep into games, this sets up as a solid opportunity for him to pitch his way through the sixth inning once again.

Julio Rodriguez MORE THAN 7.5 Fantasy Points

Rodriguez has cleared this line in 52% of his games this season, but he’s been especially effective against the Angels, going over it in all four matchups while averaging over 12 fantasy points per game in those contests. He draws a favorable matchup once again, this time against Tyler Anderson—a pitcher he’s absolutely crushed in their previous meetings. In 11 career at-bats against Anderson, J-Rod is hitting an eye-popping .545 with a home run and 6 RBIs. Given the history and the current form, this sets up as a prime spot for Rodriguez to deliver another strong performance.
