Tarik Skubal MORE THAN 6.5 Strikeouts
Skubal is rolling into this game with all kinds of momentum, fresh off his first complete game of the season. He’s been an absolute force lately, going over this number in six straight starts. In that span, he’s racked up double-digit strikeouts in four games and is averaging an impressive 10 punchouts per outing. While the Royals are generally a disciplined bunch at the plate with a 22% strikeout rate, Skubal has absolutely had their number in the past. In 142 career at-bats against him, the current Royals roster has struck out at a sky-high 31.8% clip. I love this spot for Skubal to keep the strikeout train rolling.
Seiya Suzuki MORE THAN 1.5 Total Bases
We’re getting a nicely juiced line here for Suzuki to notch at least two total bases, and this is shaping up to be an ideal matchup for him. Suzuki has been on a tear lately, going over this line in 12 of his last 18 games overall. Today, he faces Nick Lodolo, who’s been giving up plenty of hard contact with a 41.2% hard hit rate and a 7.7% barrel rate on the season. Even better, Suzuki has absolutely torched Lodolo in the past, hitting .455 with three extra-base hits in 11 career at-bats. I love this spot for Suzuki to keep the hot streak rolling.
