Gausman has been in great form lately, going over this number in 6 of his last 8 starts while boasting an impressive 27.7% strikeout rate during that stretch. He also gets a very favorable matchup here against the Rangers, a team he has historically dominated. In 101 career at bats against this current Texas roster, Gausman has recorded 34 strikeouts, which speaks to his ability to generate swings and misses in this spot. With the extra value baked into this line, I really like backing Gausman here to keep it going.
Eric Fedde MORE THAN 15.5 Outs
Fedde has been a reliable presence on the mound this season, going over this line in 7 of his 10 starts. He finds himself in a very promising matchup today against a Baltimore team that ranks 28th in strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers at just under 24% and 22nd in overall wOBA with a modest .304 mark. Given these favorable conditions, this sets up as a prime opportunity for Fedde to pitch deep into the game, likely reaching the 6th inning and securing another quality start. I really like this spot for him!
