Kyle Gibson MORE THAN 5.5 Hits Allowed

Kyle Gibson heads into his fourth start of the season having allowed 6 or more hits in two of his first three outings, averaging just under 8 hits allowed per start. His .337 expected batting average (xBA) ranks in the 1st percentile league-wide, signaling one of the worst marks among all pitchers. Historically, he hasn’t fared much better against this Nationals lineup, giving up 22 hits in 61 career at-bats — a .361 average. With those numbers in mind, this looks like a prime opportunity for the Nationals to do some serious damage at the plate.

Shohei Ohtani MORE THAN 2.5

Shohei Ohtani has been on a tear, going over this number in 9 of his last 11 games while averaging over 4.5 hits, runs, and RBIs during that stretch. He’s in a great spot tonight against Tyler Anderson, a pitcher he’s had plenty of success against. In 8 career plate appearances, Ohtani has 4 hits, a walk, and has done serious damage with those hits — including 3 triples and a home run. With his current form and strong history in the matchup, this looks like a prime setup for another big night from Ohtani.
