Baez has been on an absolute tear lately, going over this line in 9 of his last 10 games while averaging a strong 14 fantasy points per contest during that stretch. Since April 19, he’s posted an impressive .418 wOBA and a .588 slugging percentage, showcasing both consistency and power at the plate. While he’s up against a tough opponent in Nathan Eovaldi, the number on Baez is set so low that it’s hard to ignore. Given his current form, this looks like a great opportunity to ride the hot hand.
Chris Sale MORE THAN 5.5 Strikeouts (Goblin)
Sale has been in dominant form lately, clearing this strikeout line in four of his last five starts while averaging an impressive 7.8 strikeouts per outing during that span. He’s maintained a strikeout rate north of 30% on the season, reaffirming his elite swing-and-miss ability. Tonight, he draws a highly favorable matchup against a Pirates lineup that has struggled mightily against left-handed pitching, striking out at a 26.3% clip. The history backs it up, too—the current Pittsburgh roster has a 32.1% strikeout rate in 28 career plate appearances against Sale. With the matchup and recent form aligning, this sets up as a prime spot for Sale to rack up the Ks.
