Jordan Hicks MORE THAN 4.5 Hits Allowed
Jordan Hicks has struggled to limit contact lately, allowing at least six hits in each of his last five starts and averaging seven hits allowed per outing over that span. While he’s set to face a Rockies team that’s been underwhelming overall, this particular matchup may not be as easy as it seems. Colorado’s current lineup holds a respectable .258 batting average against Hicks across 31 at-bats, suggesting they’ve had some success putting the ball in play against him. Despite the Rockies’ overall struggles, Hicks is allowing a .347 wOBA on the season — a number that makes this hits line feel a bit too low. There’s sneaky value here on the over.
Oscar Gonzales LESS THAN 1.5 Total Bases
Oscar Gonzalez has struggled to make a significant offensive impact this season, staying under this number in 11 of his 15 games — including each of his last five. Across 44 plate appearances, he’s managed just one extra-base hit, a clear indication that he’s not generating much power at the plate. His .247 wOBA underscores those struggles, and with such limited pop in his bat, there’s not much reason to expect a breakout here. Given the lack of consistent production and minimal extra-base hit potential, this number simply feels too high for Gonzalez in this matchup.
