Casey Mize MORE THAN 16.5 Outs

Casey Mize has quietly been getting the job done, going over this outs line in four of his last five starts, including a solid 16-out performance in his most recent outing against Baltimore. Known for his efficiency on the mound, Mize consistently works deep into games without racking up high pitch counts. He’s in a strong spot again today facing an Angels lineup that ranks in the bottom 10% of the league with a .288 wOBA. Given the favorable matchup and his ability to pitch to contact and eat innings, Mize is in a great position to go over this number — and there’s a good chance he cruises into the sixth inning once again.

Yusei Kikuchi MORE THAN 4.5 Strikeouts (Goblin)

Yusei Kikuchi had a bit of a stumble in his last outing, but prior to that, he was remarkably consistent, recording at least five strikeouts in each of his previous five starts. He’s in a prime bounce-back spot today against a strikeout-prone Tigers lineup that is fanning at a 25.7% clip against left-handed pitching. Even more encouraging, Kikuchi has a strong track record against Detroit’s current hitters, who have struck out at a 29.4% rate across 85 career matchups. With a reduced line on the board, this looks like a great opportunity to plug Kikuchi into your slips with confidence.
